Currently under construction is the 5-story Aloft hotel. Located centrally inside the Garza Ranch Development in South Austin. The 34-acres will be home to multi-family housing, an office building, and the Aloft hotel. With the slab-on-grade foundation recently poured and the CMU shafts nearly complete, the 19,000 sq ft footprint supporting the 140 room hotel is well on its way. The Aloft hotel will have a total occupiable space of 80,000 sq ft which was designed using load bearing light gauge steel, a CMU block staircase, and steel beams and columns supporting the large open spaces of the first floor.
