Christian Brothers Automotive Service Center
Missouri City, Texas
The Christian Brothers Automotive Service Center in Missouri City sits on a high bank that backs up to a drainage canal that is subject to flooding. The top of the building foundation was placed approximately 14 ft. above the graded bank at the rear. Due to site constraints, the retaining wall at the rear of the site needed to be designed integrally with the foundation. Texas Design Interests, LLC designed a 12 ft. retaining wall supported by belled piers, as the rear wall of the building. Over the retaining wall, the foundation was poured, and the 14ft. CMU wall was constructed directly above that. Our relationship and continual communication with Christian Brothers Automotive and the Contractor allowed this project to be constructed within the constraints, and produced a successful product for the client.
